Children and Youth + Reconciliation

Meaningful reconciliation engages children and youth in learning about colonization in Canada and how it continues to affect Indigenous Peoples, in thinking creatively about the future, and in providing them with opportunities to make a difference. Children and youth have a clear sense of right and wrong and feel empowered to lend their voice to causes they care about.

Are you a young person who wants to get involved in helping make sure Indigenous children and young people have the same opportunities as others? Are you an educator who wants to guide children and youth in reconciliation? The Caring Society has a lot of information and ways to participate:

The Caring Society also worked with a young person to create a poster to help children and youth become engaged in reconciliation. You can print the poster from the resources below for your classroom, community centre or other space!
