My name is Miyah-Mae Stewart-Tuccaro and I am a proud member of Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation which lies within Treaty 8 territory. I have been an emergency medical responder for the past year, volunteering with my local Fire and Ambulance department and working closely with hospital staff to ensure a comfortable and accepting space for people of all backgrounds. I feel passionate about giving back to my community and being an advocate for our Indigenous population in a high-stress system to ensure each and every need is met.
