The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a collective of empowered youth who draw on their lived experience within the government care system to help strengthen youth services at Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS). The Council is composed of members between the ages of 13 and 18 who provide thoughtful recommendations on services and policies affecting children, youth, and families across our service delivery area, including our 11 Member Nations and the urban centres of Burns Lake, Vanderhoof, and Prince George. Their voices are essential to shaping services that are responsive, culturally grounded, and accountable to the children, youth, and families we serve.
