(Children and youth group - mixed ages)

The Harvest City Student Leadership has been making strides toward reconciliation by addressing injustice and actively participating in reconciliation activities. After visiting the Regina Indian Industrial Cemetery, one student was called to action to initiate an act of service - remembrance and honour. She gathered her fellow students to help repair the forgotten piece of land that sits just outside of the city limits.

Working with an Elders Committee, the Mayor and the landowner, the students repaired and painted the fence to honour the children in the cemetery who do not even have grave markers. This is now a semi-annual act of service for the student body as a reminder of the history of Residential Schools.

The Harvest City Student Leadership also invited an Elder to speak about their experience at Residential School and they also organized Orange Shirt Day to show their support.
