My name is Jordan Barnaby and I am a member of the Listuguj Mi’gmaq First Nation, which is situated in Gespe’gewa’gi, eastern Quebec. I have recently completed my final year of studies in the Bachelor of Social Work program at Dalhousie University and will be furthering my education in the Master of Social Work program at Dalhousie. Upon completion of the MSW program, I intend on working in the field of Indigenous Mental Health Counseling.

My educational goals will help build a stronger community and benefit the Indigenous community as my commitment to First Nations Children’s health and community services are aligned with my personal values and my social work framework for practice.

I am honoured to have been chosen as a recipient of the Jordan’s Principle Scholarship 2024.
