  • Students call on the Prime Minister to have a heart for First Nations children (audio)

    On Wednesday, February 10, more than 600 children and young people from across the National Capital Region and beyond gathered on Parliament to celebrate love and fairness for First Nations children.

    The students read letters, and shared songs and poems calling on the Prime Minister and all Canadians to have a heart for First Nations kids and give them the childhood they deserve.

She brings together the voices of those who have successfully taken the Dream all the way to the United Nations in Geneva.

    The National Film Board of Canada has graciously agreed to make Hi-Ho Mistahey!, Alanis Obomsawin’s amazing documentary about the Shannen's Dream campaign, available online for Have a Heart Day.

    Celebrate Have a Heart Day by watching the film with your family and friends, or by organizing a screening for your school, workplace, church group or community. The film will be available free online for three days only: February 14th - 16th.
